INSTRUCTIONS
For this project, we were to create a poster using Adobe Illustrator based on the Sustainable Development Goals and pick one of the goals provided and try to portray an impactful message to viewers.
PROJECT 2
Targets:
- reduce marine pollution
-reduce ocean acidification
- protect and restore ecosystems
- sustainable fishing
- conserve coastal and marine areas
- end subsidies contributing to overfishing
- increase the economic benefits from sustainable use of marine resources
Some inspirations:
Sketch idea: The ignorant humans on the ship only caring about enjoying their holiday, not knowing they are doing damage to the sea creatures. The fish is trying to support the ship despite the condition worsening under the sea

Name of work: Save me save you
Description: Humans are known to be the main source of failure to conserve marine life. There are many factors to this for example, littering, over consumption of vehicles, overfishing etc. In my poster, I would like to focus on the littering part as most people litter especially on the beach next to the sea. Littering is such an easy thing to do that it seems like a reflex action to most. This can cause the sea creatures to die and wither away, destroying their ecosystem. As seen in my poster, the fish is trying to shoulder all the weight of the mess made from humans. Humans themselves, living in a 2D world, are not aware of their own doings and how it is affecting the real 3D world in the sea. Not only will this affect fellow sea creatures, but humans themselves as well but they are not realizing it. The main fish is trying to hold on so hard that it would not be able to hold out any longer. This picture also shows humans doing leisure activities so that they could have fun but do they ever go into deep thought of what are the consequences of their actions?
REFLECTION
For this project, the biggest struggle I had was exporting my artwork. Initially I was very excited to finally make a whole 3D poster as personally I love 3D designs, however my laptop wasn't able to export it. With this, I learned that we should compromise to whatever conditions given at times and be resilient. This thing affected me for some time as I was always wondering what to remove from my work and eventually it was not what I initially imagined it to be. But still, it turned out okay and I was proud of myself for keeping going forward. I also learned that the different settings in the 3D features could really make your artwork unique and it was fun to play around with different settings, seeing that there are many ways to create a 3D artwork.
